Join us on Friday, September 29th at 8pm for a new round of comedians bringing you a night of Queer Comedy. The showcase will once again be hosted by one of our favorite comedians Gray West.
About the Talent:
Gray West has made a name for himself as a yellow brick road comedian with his high-energy and hilarious performances. In addition to frequently hosting shows at the renowned DC Improv, Standup NY, and Helium Philadelphia, Gray is the host and producer of Champagne and Comedy, a popular queer comedy show at The DC Comedy Loft. He placed 4th at The Comedy Mob Festival at Standup NY. He has also had the opportunity to open for well-known comedians such as Maddy Smith, Sydney Washington, Beth Stelling, Matthew Broussard, Judy Gold, Jeff Arcuri and Erica Rhodes. Gray is one to watch in the comedy world with his unique style and positivity.
Lucas Craig is pursuing his dream to be the first Jewish comedian to hit it big. During his first year of comedy he won first place at the Electric Palm 2023 Fall Fling, and placed second at the MaGoobys Joke House New Talent July Showcase, as well as the “Emergency” Make Up Party at the DC Improv. You can see him around the DMV at Capital Laughs, DCComics No Capes, Catfish, Laugh Tracks, and BullDog Comedy. His unique style combines storytelling and social commentary with a flair for the darkly absurd.
Peter Angelo is a NYC based comedian who brings a unique perspective unlike anyone you’ve seen before. Looks can be deceiving and Peter keeps audiences surprised and laughing through his set
Liz Glazer is a Jewish, lesbian comedian, actor, and writer who used to be a tenured law professor, a job she was very funny at. Liz is a recent first place winner of the Boston Comedy Festival and Ladies of Laughter Competition, and has opened for Myq Kaplan and Maria Bamford. Her recent debut album A VERY PARTICULAR EXPERIENCE — recorded at two sold out headlining shows at New York Comedy Festival — debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts where it stayed for 6 days, and was featured in the New York Times. Liz has also been profiled for her comedy by the Wall Street Journal, a premier publication for comedy. As an actor Liz has appeared on NBC’s The Blacklist, ABC’s For Life, and CBS’s BULL. And as a writer, Liz has written and is writing pilots about her life as a former lawyer and law professor, rabbi’s wife, and new mother. In May of 2024, Liz will record her next hour tentatively entitled VERIFIED FRAUD, on the Main Stage of the South Orange Performing Arts Center, a 439 seat venue. Between now and then, Liz will be working on that hour as well as making 439 friends.
Drew Lausch is an actor, comedian, and writer originally from Fargo, ND based in Brooklyn, NY. He recently filmed Club Cumming Presents A Queer Comedy Extravaganza hosted by Alan Cumming, played a closeted mormon “Felix,” in Intermedium from Mainframe Productions, and was featured in Daughter of the Bride starring Marcia Gay Harden as “Chucks”. Drew’s two person show “Gay Demonz '' that he wrote, produced, and starred in alongside Zach Teague will be having its off-broadway debut at Ars Nova this fall and was written up in the NY Times as one of the “best bets” to see during the New York Comedy Festival. Also with Teague, Drew co-hosts & produces Haus Party, a queer variety show that has been featured in the NY Times,TimeOut NY, Gothamist, and more. His debut webseries, Sugar Baby Web Series, which he wrote, produced, and starred in garnered over 60,000 views on Youtube. As a Stand Up Comedian, Drew was written up as one of “8 Queer Comedians You Should Be Following Right Now” by Queerty and has been referred to as an“oversharing flirt.” (NY Press) Drew has a "strong, hilarious, and provocative point of view." Domo Jones has performed all over the East Coast at comedy clubs from New York to Philadelphia. Seen on Pause with Sam Jay and Comics watching Comics. Attended a few festivals Black Women in Comedy Fest in New York and Black Girls Giggles comedy festival in New Orleans.
