JUNE 1 (Thursday) – Pride month kicks off with a “Drink and Draw” event hosted by JD Korejeko the owner of Manayunk’s Johnny Destructo’s Hero Complex comic book store. JD is also a talented artist and designer and Fat Lady Brewing is happy to have him host his event in our taproom. (Ask him about Queer characters that have appeared in mainstream comic books)
JUNE 2 (Friday) – We kick off of our Pride Film Festival with a screening of 1993’s “Philadelphia”, an American legal drama directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington. Filmed and set in its namesake city, it tells the story of gay man Andrew Beckett (Hanks) who asks lawyer Joe Miller (Washington) to help him sue his employers, who fired him after discovering he has AIDS. JUNE 3 (Saturday) – Strike A Pose! Fat Lady Brewing kicks off pride month with a celebration of queer culture, a good old-fashioned lip sync smackdown! Hosted by Stefani Steel and Lucy Moth, 6 contestants will go head to head in a runway and lip sync challenge to win over the judges and audience! Come out and kick off Pride Month and help us to decide who will take home the crown! Doors open at 7:30 pm, showtime 8:30 pm. $25 and includes a beverage. VIP seating includes a table with up to 4 chairs and bottle service starting at $100 for a table for two. More info

JUNE 17 (Saturday) – Betty and Raven present “The Tassel Time Warp”, a roaring 20s Burlesque show. – Doors open at 7:30 show starts at 8:00. Tickets available in advance $25 per person and include 1 drink. More info

JUNE 24 (Saturday) – 2pm: Our Queer-atives Arts and Crafts Club – Tap Room – Queer-atives aims to create a welcoming and safe space for members of the LGBTQI+ community to gather, connect, and engage in creative expression. We strive to foster a sense of belonging, support, and inclusivity while providing affordable arts and crafts activities. Through this club, we encourage individuals to explore their artistic potential, exchange ideas, and build lasting relationships. Our goal is to promote self-expression, celebrate diversity, and empower queer voices through the transformative power of art.
